Hi,
After some fiddling I was able to filter out most of those
blasted postings. The flaw in this misfit's program is it
generates relatively long texts. If you filter out anything
of more than 20 lines what is left is mostly good posts.
If we keep our posts under 20 lines (most are anyway) the
filter will work.
To do this in Outlook Express:
In the menu go to
"Tools > Message Rules > News"
Select "New"
In "1. Select .. Conditions .." check
"Where the message is on a specified newsgroup"
Go down two boxes to "3. Rule description .."
In that box "Specified" will be highlighted and underlined.
Select "comp.robotics.misc".
Again in "1. Select .. Conditions .." check
"Where the number of lines .. is more than .."
Go down two boxes to "3. Rule description .."
again.
In that box "Lines" will be highlighted and underline.
Select it an type in the number of lines (e.g. 20) then OK.
In "2. Select .. Actions .." check
"Delete it"
In "4. Name of the rule" give it a name such as "CRM"
Select OK
