I am trying to raise money for my Lego hobby, and will sell space on
my website for donations. It's also a sort of experiment. If you or
anybody you know have a small business or a blog and would like some
more exposure, there is space available.

The site is http://www.BuyMeALego.com. It's been up for a few days now
and there's been a lot of traffic so far. I expect it will continue to
grow because word has been getting around.

There are full instructions at the site, but it basically works like
this:

* for $0.65, I will give you a link back to your site.
* for $2 or more, I will do a second mention of you on his blog with
another link to your site
* for $10 or more, you can send me a banner ad.
* higher donors are at the top of the site.
* site will be up for two years.

10% of all money earned is donated to charity. After my goal is
reached, all further donations will be given to charity. I think it
would be nice to start a permanent charity, but it depends on how much
response is received.

I've got a FAQ and full instructions up at the site. You can also
check out my blog at http://www.PhilosophicalGeek.com to know more
about me.

Examples of current people donating:

- small business on the web
- video production company
- photographer (and another another one committed!)
- organic/home-remedy store in California
- Green-tech blog
- musical equipment vendor
- non-profit groups

Thanks for looking!

Ben
